Where to go hiking in the Dordogne near La Lénotte campsite?

Hiking lovers will be spoilt for choice in the Périgord — so get your walking shoes ready! Your walks promise breathtaking scenery rich in flora and fauna (valleys, cliffs, waterfalls, panoramas, lakes) as well as remarkable architecture with its many castles.

The closest to the campsite: the GR 36 hiking trail

At La Lénotte campsite located in the south of the Dordogne, we are lucky to be at the foot of the GR 36 trail, one of the best-known long-distance hiking routes in France, stretching over more than 100 km.

It can actually be accessed directly from the forest at the end of the campsite.

Each week in July and August, we also offer a short guided walk departing from the campsite along the GR 36. You can find more information on the campsite activities page.

The most accessible from the campsite: the Belvès area trails

Several loop routes of varying lengths pass near the campsite, all located in the Belvès area, for example:

  • The route exploring Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France;
  • The Lestat loop;
  • The Bergerac to Rocamadour trail (Stage 8);
  • The English Towers loop.

You can find all the walks and hikes proposed by the Belvès Tourist Office here: Walks and hikes.
